Travel -long flight

Wed, June 18, 2025 2:29 PM

Hi,
new to the community. I have U/C. I am in a major flare. Tried and failed 2 meds on to my 3rd. Timing could not be worse. I am about to get on a 10.5 hr flight for vacation. Anyone have any advice as to how to get through a 2 hrs ride to the airport. Then the 10.5 hrs flight, customs line and then a bus ride into the city? Currently on Rinvoq and it is not working and too many side effects.

I can relate to your struggles with UC, especially while traveling. During my last flare-up, I found that keeping snacks, hydration, and a plan for restroom access made a huge difference. Also, don’t hesitate to communicate with flight attendants about your condition—they can often help. Wishing you a safe and comfortable journey! Basketball Stars

I can definitely relate to the long travel stress! When I flew recently, I found that downloading some good podcasts and bringing a neck pillow made a huge difference. Just take it one step at a time, and don’t forget to hydrate. Safe travels! Basketball Stars
