Hey everyone,
It's been over a year since I've experienced symptoms on a regular basis - abdominal pain, diahrea lasting more than a day, blood etc.
I have not taken any medications, no rescue treatments of prednisone, biologics etc.
What has changed however is the types and amounts of food I eat, and what I avoid absolutely - added flour, starch, and sugar (including "natural" sugars like honey).
I follow a meal plan as follows:
Breakfast - 8oz fruit, 8 oz greek yogurt, and 4 oz dry measured then cooked oats
Lunch - 6 oz cooked vegetable or fruit, 6 oz protein, 8 ounces fresh veggies, 6 oz rice or potato
Dinner - same as lunch, could be different foods.
This has not been easy, and have relied on a group of individuals following the same meal plan for reasons of controlling their tendency to overeat (as I have).
I have not paid a cent for this program in any way shape or form- either in the form of food products like weight watchers, consultation fees, books, membership fees, workshops etc. Nor am I interested in ever receiving any compensation in any form for my time spent answering questions or discussing what I did.
Also can't guarantee this as a cure, even for myself long-term. I get that some of you already do this and still have symptoms or may not experience relief from this - my heart goes out to those fitting this description.
Feel free to PM me if interested in learning more about this.
P.S. I had a contingency food for every trigger food, including raw veggies. I can now eat raw veggies with no symptoms.
