Moving on From Humira

Wed, November 27, 2019 6:52 PM

Hey guys, I just had another colonoscopy today and the results weren't great. I've been on Humira for about a year and a half now and just havent been seeing the results we were hoping to see, so now my GI and I are considering swithcing to another class of meds. He is leaning towards Stelara, but Entyvio and Remicaide are also on the table.

Does anyone have an experince with Stelara, Entyvio, or Remicaide in relation to UC specifically? He asked me to do some research on them for the next time we meet, so I thought I'd better ask people who may have actual input. I would really appreciate any responses, or anything about a med I didn't list that worked for you, or didn't.

Thanks so much in advance!

Kirsten :)

I was on stelara for four years, it was great while it lasted but it stopped working for me. I don't particularly enjoy cimzia, makes me feel like shit and I'm lethargic the next day. With stelara I felt fine and it cleared up almost 100% of my plaque psoriasis.

My daughter has been on it since April. Did the job along with azathropine. Still some inflammation but no bleeding and mostly regular movements. No side effects in her case.

Doing more research now myself I tend to feel she was put on the immunsuppressors a bit too soon. They didnt even try dietary changes, which arrording to Seattle Childrens Holspital website can work rather well.
